Dear [NAME]

Firstly thanks for being part of the rapidly growing MEGA FISHING family and secondly I would like to apologise that it has taken so long for this first M.F.T newsletter to get to you.

Its been almost 10 months now since the first MEGA FISHING seeds were planted. The site has grown like a monster baby since those first days when it was unsure if there was even a need for a website only concentrating on fishing in Thailand.

Well Im happy to say that, there is a need and also a very surprising interest.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody that has registered with MEGA FISHING THAILAND and give my word that these Newsletters will become more frequent, im hoping on a monthly basis.

So what has been happening over the last few months?

Well sorry to say, personally not enough fishing, when you create a monster it tends to take over everything.

I did get a few days fishing in while in Chiang Mai at Dreamlake resort.

CATCH: Chiang mai fishing report. March 2007
Giant siamese Carp or also known as Caho in Thai LanguageDream lake fishing resort in Chiang mai Thailand continues to push the boudaries of fishing. This medium sized lake just out of the centre of Chiang Mai has basically got the perfect name, for it is a "Dream Lake".

Dreamlake fishing resort re-opened its doors in december with 5 brand new Bungalows and has stocked some new fish.

The Snakehead fishng has been going strong since with another world record coming from the Master Mr Jean-francois Helias with a new IGFA world record for the Cobra Snakehead.

RECORD: Cobra snakehead, IGFA world record catch for Channa Marulius

I have also been slowly building up the Thai fish species section. It is nowhere near complete and is a massive job to say the least but where there is a will there is a way. The saltwater species is still under construction and as time goes by will also be completed. The latest addition is the Giant Snakehead or as my good friend calls them the angsters of the deep.

SPECIES: The Cobra Snakehead ( Channa marulius).
The Cobra Snakehead or Great Snakehead is an elusive fish that inhabits waters from Thailand and Cambodia through Burma all the way to India and China. Its known as Cobra Snakehead because of its resemblance to the Cobra. Its name in Thai Plah Chon gnu hauw translated literally means Cobra Snakehead. This fish has become famous because it has been found inhabiting canals in Florida where it is considered vermin because it is not a native species.

M.F.T is still looking for more writters and contributors to our pages, we want to hear about your fishing tales, they dont even need to be directly related to fishing in Thailand, so If you have anything to contribute then please dont hesitate to send it over and M.F.T will be pleased to publish it with your name up in lights on that very page.

I have decided against my better judgement to open a forum on the site. This is only a test arena as personally I have reservations about forums and generally dont use them. Im hoping that this forum which is only open to registered members will not degenerate to childish comments and slagging matches as most forums do. As soon as it becomes more hassle than its worth it will be closed, have no doubt's about that my friends.

Finally I would like to ask you to tell all your friends about the portal and forward this email to your fishing buddies so they can share your pleasure of reading all these brilliant articles!

So for now and until next months newsletter.

Best regards,
Keep the flag flying!.
