Dear MEGA FISHING THAILAND,My friend Marty (Arostegui) told me once in an email that if I could break his 2 lb line class record (a 2.72 kg c.marulius catch) for the snakehead spp category he would not only congratulate me but would admit I am a very skilful angler. I did not forget his words. It took some time before I had the chance to take care of that record. But since 4.30 pm this afternoon, today, Nov. 27, 2007...it is done!
A new Bungsamran operator, has guided UK carp angler Lloyd Gay to what is probably one of the most impressive accomplishments of a carp angler in recent years. Two 100LB+ Giant Siamese Carp, with a combined weight of over 239lb (one at 117.1ozLB and one at 122.3ozLB) both landed within IGFA rules, and both exceeding the current world record of 52kg, landed less than 24hrs apart.
I have received recently a couple of emails from angling buddies who were wondering why I was not sending anymore emails reporting some of our outstanding fish catches here in Thailand. They say they miss the reading of these emails, and more especially having a look at the pics of the fish. Now that a couple of you have told me they are missing my updates, I feel kind of guilty of having been "lazy" for a while. So thanks to these buddies asking me to write again about what is happening with Fishing Adventures Thailand.
Hi everyone from sunny Thailand, yes the rain season is over the last 2 weeks has been rain free with temperatures in the 90's perfect weather to get the Mekong cats on the munch. November started out with few anglers on the lake and the last of the rains coming through we had some of the most horrendous rain storms I have ever seen here in Thailand which plummeted the temperatures along with colouring up the lake, Sean and I managed a few short sessions
