But actually on the outskirts of town and within a few miles of the metropolitan boundaries there are numerous lakes and reservoirs providing great fishing experiences. In fact, you'll find some of the planet's biggest frehswater fish ( including the number 1 and 2, Mekong Giant Catfish and Arapaima ) in these Bangkok lakes. So expect a fight! About 300 metres long and with an average depth of 3.5 metres, this lake maintains a stock of more than Giant Mekong Catfish from 10 - 50 Kg in weight.
Bor Ngao Nam Lake, Established for more than 15 years. This well-stocked lake offers the angler the chance to try his hand with some big Mekong Catfish, Tilapia and Snakeheads. The lake is around 1/2 km long by 80 metres wide, and varies is about 7 metres deep at its deepest.
