 Lure Fishing competition contest in Chiang Mai. Target species are Snakehead and Jungle Perch/Hampala barb. Your chance to take part in this annual Thailand lure fishing event which is being organised by the Lure fishing club of Chiang Mai along with Dreamlake fishing anbd some local Chiang Mai tackleshops.

Organized by Lure fishing Club Chiang Mai, local Tackle shops, and Dreamlake Fishing Resort. ITINERARY 20th September, 11.00a.m. Pick up from Hotel and transfer to Mae Ngat Dam. Travel by boat to floating raft and check in. About 2.30p.m. start fishing from a local long tail boat (Max. 2 anglers per boat), instruction in favourite lures and techniques. Fishing until 6.30p.m. Return to the raft, receive start number for the competition, thai buffet for all anglers, lottery by chosen start numbers and the chance to win various tackle.Overnight at basic raft. 
21st September, receive a lunch box and drinking water,start competition from 6.00a.m. until 4.00p.m, weighing the fish, the 3 anglers in both categories with the heaviest fish receive a trophy. after return to Chiang Mai at 6.30-7.00p.m..
Anglers who want to join the competition should bring their own tackle, breaking strength for braided line should be minimum 30lbs. Lures are available inexpensive in Chiang Mai. We can arrange a short visit in a local tackle shop before we leave C.M. on 20th September.
Competition is only for trophy and honour, no prize money.
