Thailands premier predator fishing venue only a couple of hours drive from Bangkok. This is a truly action packed day trip.
Our day started in Bkk with an early morning pick up and after a pleasant drive out of Bangkok to the lake we arrived promptly and in the blink of en eye were all handed custom made rods spolled up with 30lb powerpro braid ready to go and a selection of lures like you have never seen before.
It wasnt long before Alan Palmer who was joining us with his friend Mike Keenan our return client was into his first fish. He was ready and alert for it and proceeded to land without any trouble a very nice Amazonian shovel nose catfish or Sorubim.
After that as you can see it was pretty much none stop all day with lots of species and everyone itching to hook into a big Arapaima until a nasty storm broke up play right through the hour of dusk prime time. We managed to get a couple more catches in before going home time and finished off a truly fantastic action packed fishing trip with a nice Chao praya catfish.
'Another Red tail' These amazon catfish seem eager to take pretyty much any bait that is presented to them including our left over lunch.
