Freshwater Fishing - FRESHWATER FISHING IN THAILAND CATCH REPORTS
Written by Administrator

ImageMany people say that word of mouth is the best form of advertisng and here is a great example which ended up in an unforgetable days fishing an amazing catch and some very happy faces.

There was an article published in Japanese, written by Moteki Kaoru-San describing his experience many years ago of battling with Giant Mekong Catfish at an exclusive venue in the heart of Bangkoks concrete Jungle.

When a Japanese man named Hirohisa Takanashi on holiday in Thailand read about his fellow countryman's fishing trip to Bung sam lan Lake in Bangkok with Jean Francois Helias and his Fishing Adventures. Thailand team he decided to contact them and book a days fishing to the Bangkok venue to sample it for himself.

Mr Takanashi is kind of novice angler and is not so much into fishing but describes his main hobbies as judo and american football, which was good for him because a day out battling the Giant Mekong Catfish will test anybodys physical fitness and endurance.

Some people would call it luck, others Karma and maybe it is both but it also helps to be in the right place at the right time with the proper equipment and the best knowledge possible.

Well all these factors came together for Hirohisa Takanashi who hooked into a super biggie of a Giant Mekong Catfish. The clunker was fought and played with great patience and eventually landed with ease by the man and the team of guides.

The stonking Giant Mekong Catfish was weighed on certified scales and hit the 58Kg ( 127.8 lbs) mark which even on a good day is an amazing specimen.

After being weighed the Giant Mekong Catfish was carefully released without ever leaving the water which is a great example of proffesionalism from the guides present.

All in all a fine fish and a very satisfied angler.
