Monster Giant Freshwater Stingray Catches

Share

Moving into the dry season which is usually the best for Stingray fishing we have had some excellent catches ion the last couple trips with a real monster catch of a lifetime  Himantura chaophraya which was estimated by the local boatmen guides at over 150kg which took about 4 hours for our client Luke Benson from UK to land with some help from our guides and the locals. While fishing for stingrays our clients also use light tackle to target other smaller Thai river fish species which can be great fun. One of the more common species caught is the Booseman Croker (Boesemania microlepis) .

Our other client last month Earl Kowall from Canada had a nice catch estimated at approx 60kg by the boatman. Earl only had one day to fit the trip into his schedule and got lucky with this unforgettable catch.
