The Black Shark Minnow (Labeo chrysophekadion) is common in Thai fisheries but hard to target unless anglers know lakes well and can find the swims they inhabit. They are territorial fish and usually live close to the bottom and in and around snags such as boulders or submerged logs. Black Sharks' take the same kinds of rice bran / bread baits as several other carp and catfish species, also worms, sweetcorn and occasionally flies.
