ABOUT SRINAKARIN FISHING: Srinakarin reservoir is an amazing Thailand fishing destination. Located in the Kanchanaburi province, this is a place for a true fishing adventure of a lifetime. You will trek out into the wilderness and spend days and nights fishing in Thailand's unbroken peace right next to stunning scenery and close to mother nature. The accommodation is aboard floating Bamboo rafts, that are very comfortable and serve as a perfect relaxation point after a hard days battling with Native Thai fish species.
FISHING METHOD: This guided fishing trip is mainly lure fishing for Thailand's top sport fish the Giant snakehead (Channa micropeltes) also the hard fighting Jungle perch. Focus is on topwater lures but diving baits, spinners and flies can also be used. The action is aggressive hard hitting strikes on top water with frog and buzz bait lures. Casting accuracy is very important for this type of fishing. Bait fishing for featherback, Thai mahseer and carp species is also available.
TARGET SPECIES: Among the target species for this amazing fishing venue in Kanchanaburi are the Snakeheads. In particular the Giant snakehead (Channa micropeltes) which is an aggressive predator and a good angling test for anyone fishing in Thailand. Also the Jungle perch (Hampala macrolepidota) is a barb species alternatively known as the Hampala barb. This fish is a tricky customer often found hiding out in snagged areas around rocks as well as in slack waters. This is a hungry predator and will take most lures or flies that are thrown at it. These powerful fish make fine exciting sport on light spinning or fly tackle.
ITINERARY
- Day 1:Pick up at your hotel in Bangkok at 6.30 am. Transfer by private minibus to the destination (4 hours & a half). Overnight at base camp (traditional Thai floating house).
- Day 2: Full lure fishing day by boat. Overnight at base camp (traditional Thai floating house).
- Day 3:Full lure fishing day by boat. Overnight at base camp (traditional Thai floating house).
- Day 4:Full lure fishing day by boat. Overnight at base camp (traditional Thai floating house).
- Day 5: After breakfast transfer back to Bangkok. Arrival in Bangkok in the afternoon.
Barramundi Fishing Lures and Flies

Lure and Fly fishing for Barramundi (Lates calcarifer )and Snakehead species (Channa micropeltes and striata) at Bang Na lakes which is a venue made of 4 stocked lakes, all located in the same area, at only one hour drive from Bangkok.
